Kinetic Energy Over the City of Angels


"LA Observed" captures the electric pulse of Los Angeles from the iconic vantage point of the Griffith Observatory. While hundreds of onlookers captured the traditional summer sunset, I wanted to document the city’s vibration rather than just its silhouette. By using a long exposure combined with a manual zoom technique, I transformed the sprawling grid of LA into a geometric rush of light and color.

The result is a contemporary portrait of a city that never truly sits still. From the glowing arteries of the 101 freeway to the distant cluster of downtown skyscrapers, the detail is immense—designed to be explored up close and admired from afar.
